Fullerton School District Offers Free Meals for All Students in the 2024-25 School Year
All students in the Fullerton School District are eligible to receive free meals throughout the 2024-25 school year under a new provision of the California Universal Meals program.
Fullerton School District’s (FSD) Nutrition Services program is participating in the new Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the California Universal Meals program for the 2024-2025 school year, enabling all students in the district to receive free school meals throughout the upcoming academic year that begins August 12.
While all students are eligible to receive free meals under this program, the Fullerton School District encourages its new and incoming families to submit an Alternate Income Form (AIF) through the district’s online Annual Information Review (AIR) system. Completing this AIF will also help families know if they qualify for many other benefits and discounts, including discounted home internet, college application fees, bus passes, and more. An additional reason why it is important for families to complete the AIF is that it might help provide increased funding for FSD schools, which funding will go directly towards all of the educational programs and opportunities for every student across the school district.
FSD’s Nutrition Services award-winning program was recently awarded a 2023 Turnip the Beet Gold Award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services division and has continued to innovate to create delicious and nutritious meals, using locally sourced food whenever possible.
