What else is different about the new law?

  • What else is different about the new law?
The new law expands the prior law by including language about adolescent relationship abuse, sex trafficking, and strong emphasis on healthy attitudes, healthy behaviors, and healthy relationships.  The instruction and materials must be appropriate for students of all sexual orientations and genders and does not promote outdated gender norms. The new law also mandates that the instruction reflects our understanding of and ability to treat and prevent HIV over the last 20 years.
