The three-year grant will expand the Tiny Home Project through June 2029, funding tools, materials, technology and student learning opportunities, while also supporting services that connect participating families with ongoing resources. The District will complete its third home in May.

Made possible through Measure N, the ARC represents the District’s continued investment in creating modern, engaging spaces that support the whole child by expanding opportunities for physical activity, creativity, collaboration and connection.

Mike Shaffer was honored on May 6 with $5,000 worth of physical education equipment and supplies from the SoCal Honda Dealers as part of their annual Helpful Honda Teacher Appreciation Awards. Shaffer, who teaches at Richman and Rolling Hills elementary schools, was selected as one of a handful of educators across Southern California to receive the award for his dedication to students.

The Schools to Watch program – led by the California League of Middle Schools in partnership with the California Department of Education – recognizes middle schools for academic excellence, equity and continuous improvement. Fisler – first designated in 2023 – will be honored in Washington, D.C., this summer.

Eccellenza provides students from elementary and middle schools with the opportunity to express themselves, share their talents and build confidence through the arts, while giving families and the community a firsthand look at the depth and diversity of student creativity and programs across the District.

Events like Love Fullerton highlight the collective impact of community partnerships, including OC United, along with families, students and staff who gave their time and energy to enhance learning environments for all.
