The Fullerton School District Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Gretchen Janson as the District’s new Superintendent. An accomplished educator with nearly 30 years of experience, she was selected unanimously on April 14 following an extensive search and will assume her role on July 1.

During the finale on April 8, the Nicolas Junior High dance team took home the grand prize. Fisler School received best vocals and Parks Junior High School was recognized for best dance.

Jagath Jayaratne is being recognized for his nearly two decades of dedication to keeping classrooms connected and supporting staff and students across the District. Honorees will be recognized during Classified School Employee Week in May and advance for potential state and national recognition.

For the second year in a row, FSD is celebrating an impressive milestone: all 20 schools across the district have earned the prestigious Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Platinum distinction, placing FSD among the highest-performing PBIS districts in the state and reflects the district’s commitment to fostering student wellbeing, inclusion, and positive school culture.
