I am so excited for this school year to begin!   This year marks my 18th year of teaching.  I began my teaching career at Nicolas Junior High where I taught math & science.  Sixteen years ago, I was fortunate to help Fisler School open as one of their 5th grade teachers.  I taught 5th grade for 6 years, and then I taught Kindergarten for 2 years.  Next, I taught 2nd grade for a few years,  and for two years I had the fortunate honor to have been our RtI Coach on campus.  In this role, I worked with students in all grades, K-8, on foundational reading skills.  As much as I loved working in this capacity, I missed having my own class and came back to Kindergarten three years ago.  Kindergarten is such a special year, and I love all of the growth and learning that  happens this first year of grade school!  I am so excited for this adventure!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family. My husband, Donny, & I have two sons, Adam (8) & Blake (12).    It is very fun for me not only to be a teacher at Fisler School, but a parent.  My oldest son, Blake, is in 7th gradel, and my younger son is going into 3rd grade here at Fisler School.   We enjoy hiking, playing games, baseball, and playing with our sweet dog, Annie!
