About Me

A little about me… This is my 15th year of teaching and 12th year in the Fullerton School District. Most of my teaching experience has been in the primary grades and I am excited to be teaching second grade again this year! I received my bachelor’s degree and teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton (Go Titans!) and my master’s degree from Grand Canyon University.  I have also obtained my National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Specialist, my technology certificate with FSD, and my GATE certificate from FSD and UCI.

When I am not teaching I love to go to hockey games with my family, Let’s Go Ducks! I also love traveling with my husband, Matt, watching 49er football, and walking our neighborhood each night. I love spending time with friends, completing escape rooms, listening to mystery podcasts and live country music. When I am not at school you can usually find me at Target, Disneyland, binging Netflix, or hanging out with my nieces and nephew! I love cupcakes and anything dark chocolate or peanut butter.

Background and Class Mission

My philosophy of education is that all students can learn and succeed. I strive to create an environment that challenges students to try new things, even when they are hard, and to understand that there is no such thing as failure just learning from our mistakes. I am hoping to instill a love of learning in all of your children and to help them become life long learners. I hope to build a strong partnership between myself, you, and your child. I believe that children are most successful when they know that we are all invested in them.
