What is Math 8?

  • Math 8 is a course designed to prepare eighth grade students for high school algebra and beyond. The focus of this course is to build on foundational math skills while introducing more advanced topics such as linear equations, functions, geometry, and statistics. Students develop critical thinking and problem-solving strategies through real-world applications and mathematical modeling. They will also strengthen their understanding of number systems, proportional reasoning, and the connections between algebra and geometry. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the skills needed for success in Algebra 1 and future math courses.

Homework Procedure

  • Always complete your homework on paper (unless otherwise stated). Take a picture of your homework and keep the physical paper until your grade is recorded in PowerSchool.
