Opening our doors in the fall of 1954, Fern Drive Elementary has consistently been a wonderful place for your Falcon to learn and grow! We are a TK-6th grade school and have a wonderful variety of programs including STEAM, GATE, Student Council, 5th/6th grade band to help your child learn, grow and flourish throughout their elementary years! Among our many benefits of attending Fern Drive, at the top of the list is our stellar Falcon staff! Our teachers are accomplished, highly effective and most of all dedicated to your child's success!
We are a 2023 PBIS Platinum Award winner, 2019-20 Marzano High Reliability School, 2022-2023 Common Sense Media Certified Digital Citizenship school, 2022-23 Bronze Award Healthy School and a 2016 Gold Ribbon School! Other accolades include a 2010 California Distinguished School and Golden Bell winning campus.
We believe in fostering critical thinking, problem solving and creativity through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, or STEAM. Students immerse themselves in year-round hands-on science labs, and express their learning through collaborative projects rooted in STEAM principles.
Fern Drive’s students receive innovative instruction in music, dance, theatre and art through our All the Arts program, and further their hands-on experiences through the All the Arts Creativity Center located on our campus. Our 1:1 iPad program is seamlessly integrated throughout the curriculum, providing students with the opportunity to pioneer their own learning through thoughtfully designed, engaging lessons both at school and at home.
All of our teachers are Apple Certified and are highly trained in all aspects of Curriculum and Instruction and use research-based teaching strategies to ensure all students are learning successfully.
Eleanor Roosevelt said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Fern Drive is proud of the strong partnerships forged with families and community, working together to build a bright future for our students!
