Principal's Message

Dear Acacia Family,

My name is Rachel McCormick, and I am honored to be part of the Acacia team for the 2023-2024 school year. I believe in the importance of a home-school partnership and open communication, and I know that together we will continue to provide a high quality education for our students. Acacia has a rich tradition of academic excellence and over the past few years has been recognized as a California Distinguished School as well as a National Blue Ribbon School. Our teachers continue to set high expectations for our students, while ensuring that all students have the support they need to be successful.

This will be my third year as principal of Acacia. I have been in education for over 20 years, and have been part of the Fullerton School District for the past seventeen years where I have had the opportunity to work at both elementary and junior high schools. My husband and I have lived in Fullerton for twenty years, and both my children attended Acacia for Kindergarten through sixth grade. My daughter graduated from Troy High School, where she played softball and was part of the choral program. My son graduated from Troy as well this past year where he played football and baseball. As a family we love to go camping and hiking and any opportunity we have to enjoy the outdoors.

Acacia is an amazing place, and I am confident that we can continue to empower our students to reach their full potential in a constantly evolving world. My goal is for each student to know how much they are cared for as an individual and I look forward to meeting each of you as we prepare for the new school year.
