We currently have three K-3 MultiAge Classes and two Upper Grade MultiAge Classes (a 4/5 and a 4/5/6). Each class has it’s own acronym, which teachers use to define their classrooms and help us with organization. All MultiAge classrooms are generally similar in philosophy, with students typically staying with the same teacher or teachers for several years, and working independently from a menu of jobs in grade alike and mixed grade groupings. Teachers often organize curriculum into thematic units in which several content areas are addressed through a common theme. Teaching style, parent involvement, and classroom structure and organization vary from classroom to classroom.

All classrooms at Rolling Hills offer a high-quality, rigorous, standards-based program to support mastery of important concepts. We also consider individual needs, nurturing creativity, and paying attention to appropriate child development when planning instruction.

Interested parents are asked to participate in a school tour with our principal. Once you have been on a tour, your child can be placed on a waiting list. Siblings of current students and families who reside within our attendance area are given priority, however we also accept IntraDistrict and InterDistrict Transfers on a space-available basis. Some parents request placement on a waiting list for a specific classroom, while others choose to allow our principal to place their child based on space and availability. Please note that students who are on a waiting list for a specific classroom will not be placed in an alternate classroom unless space is available. A student cannot be placed on two waiting lists.

If you reside in Fullerton, and we are not your home school, you will need to get an IntraDistrict Transfer from your school of residence. This can be done during Open Enrollment (check with District website for dates). If you reside outside the city of Fullerton, you will need to obtain an InterDistrict Transfer from your home district. Some District do not release students until later in the year. If your child will be attending Rolling Hills on an InterDistrict Transfer, we ask that you bring us a copy of your Transfer Request in order to hold a spot on our waiting list. Office staff can help you with any questions regarding transfer paperwork.

Check District website for registration deadlines. You’ll need the following documentation to register: Birth Certificate, Immunization Record, Proof of Address, and for Kindergarten, a Kinder Physical dated

Yes, students are eligible to attend Kindergarten if they are 5 years of age on or before September 1st. Students born between September 2nd and December 2nd will be eligible for a Transitional Kindergarten Program. The Fullerton School District offers Transitional Kindergarten at other school sites. For more information on Transitional Kindergarten, please contact our office.
