PBIS | Student Handbook

  • Rolling Hills is a school that uses a positive behavior support system called PBIS. Your children have been taught to follow three school-wide behavior expectations:

    Be Kind
    Be Safe
    Be Responsible

We use these expectations to teach how to behave in every area of our school campus. If your student has challenges with these expectations, they may be given an office discipline referral, or ODR. In addition, our teachers and staff have been trained in PBIS and are using “pink and green roadrunners”, as well as many other strategies, to reinforce positive behavior.

Even though our individual classrooms have additional reward systems and a classroom behavior matrix tailored to that particular classroom, we are working together to create a consistent, school-wide culture under the expectations of being kind, safe, and responsible.

Thanks for being a key part of the Rolling Hills “Roadrunner Way”!
