Ms. Wrobel

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. My name is Ms. Wrobel, and I am honored to start my 17th year as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Hermosa Drive Elementary School. I am truly proud to be a Hermosa Hawk!

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Whittier College and a Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Fullerton. It is extremely rewarding to see my students improve their communication skills as they learn to say new sounds, develop social skills, or expand their understanding and use of language. I am eager to create new and exciting opportunities for learning in our speech room. While many of my students are continuing with me again this year, I am also looking forward to getting to know all of our new students as well. We will be hard at work on all of our speech and language goals, and I can’t wait to see the progress we will make. I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to help my students build communication skills that they are able to use with friends and teachers here at school as well as family at home.

When I am not working on speech-language skills with my students, you will find me in the garden. You could say I have a “green thumb.” I love to grow all types of plants, flowers (especially roses), fruits, and vegetables. I also enjoy quilting, DIY home projects, and cooking. I love trying out new recipes, and have become quite the chef over the several years. I adore spending time with my family and  friends.

I am looking forward to all of the learning and growth that this year brings!
