Dr. Caroline Llewellyn

Dear Hermosa Drive Families,

My name is Caroline Llewellyn and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Hermosa Drive. I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you. I am thrilled to join the caring community of Hermosa Drive. Together, we are going to have a fantastic year.

I would love to tell you a little bit about my work and educational experiences that led me to serve Hermosa Drive as your principal. I began my career as an elementary school classroom aide. Soon I became a K/1 combo teacher and later I taught special education in grades 3-6 and at the high school level.  Most recently, I had the pleasure of serving as an assistant principal at both Sonora and Troy High Schools. With my roots firmly grounded in elementary education, I am so excited to come home.

My educational experiences provided me with a strong foundation. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and teaching credentials from California State University, Long Beach. Later, I received a Master of Science in Educational Technology and a Doctorate in Education from California State University, Fullerton. My educational and work experiences have instilled within me a strong desire to ensure that ALL students receive a high-quality education balanced with the best first instruction, social-emotional learning, and physical growth in a safe, inclusive, and loving environment.

My family and I live in Fullerton. My two boys attend Ladera Vista and Acacia. My husband is a professor at CSUF. As a family, we love spending time together, watching and playing sports. On the weekends, you might find us walking our dog, playing soccer and baseball outside, swimming at the community pool, or simply spending time with family and friends.

I welcome the opportunity to learn more about you and our Hermosa Drive family. I am excited to partner together as we provide ALL students with a high-quality education infused with physical and social-emotional growth. Together, we will build a community, learn, serve, and grow.

Go HAWKS!

Warmly,

Caroline Llewellyn, Ed.D
