Mr. Petris

Yay, thank you for finding me!

I am Mr. Petris and teach 5th grade at Pacific Drive.  Teaching is my third career and definitely my most rewarding one!  Passionate about what I do, I thrive on creative, deep and complex thinking.  As a GATE 'child' myself, I have been GATE Certified from the onset of my teaching career and have instructed all of my students using GATE strategies and techniques.  I have found that by using GATE strategies, all my students have been able to reach new levels of success in their learning because it allows them to express their work in a broader and sometimes abstract manner.

I hold my students accountable for their work and behavior, all while providing a learning environment that is structured and well organized, yet relaxed.  Happy to be teaching at Pacific Drive, I know that this school is the right school for your child!
