    Dear Woodcrest Families,

    I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful summer filled with rest, adventure, and quality time with loved ones. As the proud principal of Woodcrest Elementary, I’m excited to welcome both new and returning families to the 2025–26 school year. Our staff is busy preparing for another fantastic year of learning, growth, and joyful experiences.

    Thank you for your continued support. Your partnership played a vital role in last year’s success! Our school made significant gains in test scores, academic achievement, positive behavior, and overall student growth. We look forward to building on this momentum together.

    Annual Information Review (AIR) in PowerSchool – Required for All Families
    To ensure a smooth start to the year, all families must complete the Annual Information Review (AIR) in PowerSchool. This quick update confirms your child’s personal information and demographics. Families who do not complete AIR will not be able to view their teacher assignment early or attend our Ice Cream Social on Friday, August 8th from 2–4 p.m. Information regarding how to complete AIR will be mailed to your homes. 

    Instructions will also be emailed to families. AIR can be completed online at your convenience. If you need help, in-person assistance will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the following days:

    • Monday, August 4 – TK & Kindergarten

    • Tuesday, August 5 – Grades 1–3

    • Wednesday, August 6 – Grades 4–6

    • Thursday, August 7 & Friday, August 8 – Make-Up Days for all families.

     

    Important Start-of-Year Information:
    The front office opens to the public on Wednesday, July 30th (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.).
     The first day of school is Monday, August 11th and begins at 8:15 a.m.
     Early morning care is available starting at 7:00 a.m. Students may enter the café area at 7:45 a.m.
     TK and Kindergarten will have early release on the first day only, and all students will be dismissed for regular early release on Wednesday, August 14th (and every Wednesday thereafter by 12:45 p.m.).

    Mark Your Calendar:

    • Ice Cream Social – August 8th  2:00–4:00 p.m. (for families who have completed AIR)

    • Back to School Night – August 21st, 5:45–7:00 p.m.

    • First PTA Meeting – August 25th  8:30–9:30 a.m. (Breakfast will be provided)

    New Car Rider Morning Drop Off Procedures: 

    Families who will be dropping students off between 7:45-8:15 in cars will follow this new procedure: Parents will enter the drive through the enter only area and pull up to the yellow line, where a staff member will assist your student out of the car and  and have them follow the yellow path into the campus. The parents then will exit through the exit lane only. This new procedure will allow for expedited and safe drop off in the morning for students.

    Espero que estén disfrutando de un verano maravilloso lleno de descanso, aventuras y tiempo de calidad con sus seres queridos. Como el orgulloso director de la Primaria Woodcrest, me emociona dar la bienvenida tanto a las familias nuevas como a las que regresan para el año escolar 2025–2026. Nuestro personal está trabajando arduamente para prepararse para otro año fantástico de aprendizaje, crecimiento y experiencias llenas de alegría.

Nuestra escuela logró avances significativos en los puntajes de las pruebas, el rendimiento académico, el comportamiento positivo y el crecimiento general de los estudiantes.     Revisión Anual de Información (AIR) en PowerSchool – Requisito para Todas las Familias
     Para garantizar un buen comienzo de año, todas las familias deben completar la Revisión Anual de Información (AIR) en PowerSchool. Esta actualización rápida confirma la información personal y los datos demográficos de su hijo/a. Las familias que no completen el AIR no podrán ver la asignación de maestro con anticipación ni asistir a nuestro Evento de Helado el viernes 8 de agosto de 2:00 a 4:00 p.m.
     Se enviará información a sus hogares sobre cómo completar el AIR. También se enviarán instrucciones por correo electrónico a las familias. AIR se puede completar en línea en el momento que les sea conveniente. Si necesita ayuda, habrá asistencia en persona disponible de 9:00 a.m. a 2:30 p.m. en los siguientes días:

    • Lunes 4 de agosto – TK y Kindergarten

    • Martes 5 de agosto – Grados 1–3

    • Miércoles 6 de agosto – Grados 4–6

    • Jueves 7 y viernes 8 de agosto – Días de recuperación para todas las familias

     

     

    Información Importante para el Inicio del Año:

    • La oficina principal abrirá al público el miércoles 30 de julio (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).

    • El primer día de clases es el lunes 11 de agosto y comienza a las 8:15 a.m.

    • Habrá cuidado matutino disponible a partir de las 7:00 a.m. Los estudiantes pueden ingresar al área del café a partir de las 7:45 a.m.

    • TK y Kindergarten saldrán temprano solo el primer día. Todos los estudiantes tendrán salida temprana regular el miércoles 14 de agosto (y todos los miércoles siguientes) a las 12:45 p.m.

    • Noche de Regreso a Clases – 21 de agosto, 5:45–7:00 p.m.

    Nuevos Procedimientos para Dejar Estudiantes en la Mañana (en Automóvil):
     Las familias que dejen a los estudiantes entre las 7:45 y 8:15 a.m. en automóvil deberán seguir este nuevo procedimiento: los padres ingresarán al circuito a través de la entrada señalada como "Solo Entrada" y avanzarán hasta la línea amarilla, donde un miembro del personal ayudará a su hijo/a a salir del automóvil y lo guiará a seguir el camino amarillo hacia el campus. Luego, los padres saldrán por el carril de salida "Solo Salida". Este nuevo procedimiento permitirá un descenso más rápido y seguro de los estudiantes en la mañana.
