Hello Amazing Orangethorpe Families
As we enter the last 9 days of school I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you have shown our school and staff this year. We had an amazing year and that is because of the community we are creating where everyone is welcomed and everyone is working together.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Speech and Debate celebration. We have so many talented students and it was fun to hear a snippet of their speech.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at FSD Fest. It was so fun to see everyone there enjoying everything or competing in events.
Information/Reminders:
Volunteer Breakfast: Wednesday May 21 - 7:45am In appreciation of everyone who has volunteered throughout the year, please join us for breakfast in your honor.
Yearbooks: If your child pre-ordered a yearbook, they will go home with the students. If you did not preorder a yearbook, they are still available to buy before school starting Tuesday, May 20 in Room #7 for $15.00 while supplies last.
Thursday May 29 - 6th grade & Kinder promotion: This is just around the corner and we are preparing tickets. Each student will receive 4 tickets for promotion (children 2 and under will not need a ticket but must sit on an adults lap). If you need more tickets, you will need to call the office and let them know how many more tickets you are requesting and you will be added to a waiting list. We will try our best to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee there will be extra tickets. All tickets will be distributed on Tuesday May 27. Please let me know if you have questions.
Lost & Found: We are increasing the number of items that are missing their owners. If your child has lost something, please check out our lost and found outside the MPR. Any remaining items after school ends on May 30 will be donated.
Please complete this Survey: Help Shape the Future of AI in Education — Share Your Voice! We invite all of our families to take part in the Speak Up Snapshot: Addressing AI in Education, a short national survey from Project Tomorrow. Your input helps inform important decisions at our school, in our district, and at the national level for how to best use and integrate AI tools in teaching and learning. It’s quick, completely anonymous, and provides valuable insight on how families view the role of AI in education. It will also help us as we continue to explore AI and build best practices and guidelines around its responsible use in FSD.
Please take a moment to join thousands of other families across the country in making your voice and our collective Fullerton voice heard: Click Here for the AI in Education Survey Link
Thank you for your time and partnership in ensuring all of our students have access to learning opportunities that prepare them to thrive in an ever-evolving 21st century economy and job landscape.
