Mrs. Cat Aurelio
Welcome back to school and welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Mrs. Cat-Aurelio and I will be your child’s third grade teacher this school year.
This will be my 23rd year teaching 2nd-8th grade. Of the 23 years, this will be my 7th year teaching 3rd grade at Valencia Park. I love teaching all subjects areas, especially math. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from UC Irvine. I also earned a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credentials, CLAD, and a Master of Science and Technology from Cal State University of Fullerton.
A little bit about my family, I am married to a wonderful husband, Dr. Oscar Aurelio, who works as a research scientist at USC Keck Medical Center. Together, we have two amazing daughters named Kathryn and Sarah. Kathryn is an incoming second year college student at USC, while Sarah is an incoming junior student at Sunny Hills High School. My family is my daily inspiration!
As a parent and a teacher, I know how important that your child feels welcome, is being heard and seen. My wish is to create a classroom environment, like a second home, where everyone is being treated like a “family member.” Our class family’s goal is making everyone feel that we are important and welcome. Children learn best when they like their teachers and classmates, especially in our Class Family of Room 6. Here’s to an amazing year!
