Room 10 families,

It was brought to my attention that there was an error with the field trip form I sent home in Thursday folders.  The back side regarding "health or a medical need" did not copy.   If you marked "yes" for your child for "health or medical need", you will find a new form in their homework folder on Monday.  If you haven't returned it yet, I will also put a new form in their homework folder. So sorry for the trouble!

Here is the important information for the week:

🎤Wednesday, October Share -  We began our share time last Wednesday. Each month Room 10 has a new share theme and your child will have 2 days to share. Students will have one more time to share this Wednesday, October 11th.  Our October share theme is "Nature's Box."  Your child may bring one thing in to share that they found/collected in nature (leaf, rock, flower, acorn, shell, sand, etc.)  Please practice with your child so they are ready to present what the item is, why they brought the item and how it represents nature or their love for nature.

🐼Acacia Spirit Day - Pajama Day is this Wednesday, October 11.
Wear your comfiest pajamas! You may bring a small blanket and a small stuffed/plush animal. All items must be school-appropriate. Make sure to follow all Acacia dress code rules - no slippers!

✏️ Homework Reminder: Homework is due every Friday.  Please complete all parts of the homework, including reading log and any attached pages. By signing the homework you are telling me your child had support with the homework.  First graders should not be completing the homework on their own.

🍎Snack/Recess time: please provide your child with a small snack, something quick and easy so they have time to play.  Many of my friends are hungry by 10:00am. 

🥪Lunch: If your child buys lunch please be sure to practice their lunch number at home.  They are required to put in their ID number for every lunch.

🥶Jackets/sweaters:  I keep the classroom cool so that we stay cool all day long.  Please provide a labeled sweater or jacket in the event they get chilled.
