• All About Me

attachment_241462750_mthumb.jpgWelcome to C2! I am dedicated to ensuring that each and every student in C2 will have a good learning experience this year.

My full name is Kari Holoubek, and I am proud to be a product of the Fullerton School District. I grew up in Fullerton and attended Rolling Hills as a student. In my 19 years of teaching experience I have taught kindergarten, first, third, fourth, and fifth grade. I started teaching in the district in January 2005 at Rolling Hills. I accepted a kindergarten/first grade combination class for the 2005-2006 school year at Fisler, and returned to Rolling Hills the year after. After 10 years at Rolling Hills, I returned to Fisler.  At Fisler I believe that the sky is the limit and I am truly proud to be a part of this amazing school.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in the Placentia Yorba-Linda School District as a full inclusion aide to support children with Autism. I was a discrete trial aide for two and a half years for pre-K, and I worked as a full inclusion aide for three years supporting individual students. I attended Cal State Fullerton and received my degree in 2003. I attended National University shortly after and received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2004.

Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to be a mom and a teacher. It was my fifth grade teacher, who inspired me to teach and follow my dreams. Now, 39 years later, I am teaching the very same grade where the seed was planted!

I have two beautiful children, Connor, who turned 17 on August 14th , and Margaret who will be 13 in January. Connor attended Fisler for nine years and is a senior at Fullerton High School this year.  In the summer, we enjoy camping, reading, swimming, and exploring our beautiful state, California. Being a mom and a teacher is a dream come true for me!
