About your teacher

My name is Marissa Batistelli and this is my tenth year teaching Kindergarten at Acacia. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Behavior, with a minor in Educational Studies at UC Irvine. While I was on my way to become a Child Psychologist I fell in love with teaching and never looked back! I then went to Cal. State Fullerton where I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters in Reading and Literacy. 

When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family- which includes Mr. Batistelli, our crazy dog Ollie, and our brand new edition- our son Luke who was born this spring. 

I am so excited for this school year. Kindergarten is a tremendous year of growth for children and I am committed to providing a high quality educational environment where all children can become lifelong learners! I am honored for the opportunity to develop a genuine love of learning in each of my students.
