  • Goals Summary

    Goal #1

    Cotsen Mentors

    • Cotsen Mentors will choose a goal focusing on coaching a specific pedagogy.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.

    Multiple Subject

    • All certificated subject working under a multiple subject credential will complete an ELA goal.
    • Multiple Subject Certificated staff will select a sub-strand in the ELA California Common Core State Standards as the focus for the year.  The sub-strand selected should be part your site’s guaranteed and viable standards.  If not, please discuss with your administrator for final approval.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.

    Preschool

    • Pre-School Teachers will choose a pre-academic goal to support student growth and prepare them for elementary schooling.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.

    RSP/SDC MM

    • All RSP/SDC Mild Moderate Teachers will complete a literacy-specific goal.
    • RSP/SDC MM staff will choose their goal based upon the California Common Core Standards in literacy.  Choose a sub-strand based upon your site’s guaranteed and viable standards.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal. (See Note below)

    RtI Coach

    • RtI Coaches will complete a goal based upon direct student intervention.
    • RtI Coaches will choose a California Common Core Standard based upon your site’s guaranteed and viable standards and student intervention provided.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.

    School Counselor

    • School Counselors will complete an academic support goal.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.

    School Nurse

    • School Nurses will complete a goal based upon the support provided to the health program.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.

    SDC MS

    • SDC Moderate Severe Teachers will complete a literacy goal based upon student need.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal. (See Note below)

    Single Subject

    • All certificated subject working under a single subject credential will complete subject specific goal.
    • Single subject certificated staff will choose their goal based upon the California Standards.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.

    Speech Pathologist

    • Speech Pathologists will complete a language goal based upon student needs.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal. (See Note below)

    TOSA

    • District TOSAs will work with their supervisor to determine the focus area.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.
    Adapted PE
    • APEs will work with Student Support Services administrator to determine the focus area.
    • The goal needs to be written as a SMART goal.
    • Use Single Subject Plan for Professional Growth form.
    • Multiple measures should be used to determine student growth in meeting the goal.  (See Note below)

    Preschool
