Encore: ASES

Free After-School Care Through Encore
Encore: ASES (After School Education and Safety) is a grant-funded after-school program provided at no cost to TK-8th grade families through the California Department of Education’s Expanded Learning Division.
The program provides students with a safe and welcoming place to learn, explore and connect after school. Encore begins immediately after school dismissal, making it a convenient option for families while giving students balanced combination of academic support, enrichment and recreation to support the whole child.
Through Encore, students may participate in:
- Academic support and learning activities
- Arts, math, science and other enrichment experiences
- Recreation and physical activity
- Social engagement and relationship-building
- Activities that promote confidence, resilience and positive decision-making
- Opportunities to explore interests and develop new skills
By combining education, enrichment and recreation, Encore helps students make positive choices during their out-of-school time while strengthening skills that support success in school and beyond.

Encore: ASES is available at Commonwealth, Maple, Orangethorpe, Pacific Drive, Raymond, Richman, Valencia Park and Woodcrest elementary schools and Ladera Vista and Nicolas junior high schools.
