For the 2025-2026 school year, to be eligible for Transitional Kindergarten, a child must turn four years old by September 1, 2025.
For the 2026-2027 school year, to be eligible for Transitional Kindergarten, a child must turn four years old by September 1, 2026.
Kindergarten and TK registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be accepted online beginning February 23, 2026. The first day of school for the 2026-2027 school year will be August 10, 2026.
THE DOCUMENTATION BELOW MUST BE PROVIDED:
- Proof of birthdate - please bring one of the following:
- Original or certified copy of the birth record or statement by the local registrar or county recorder certifying the date of birth
- Birth certificate affidavit form, in lieu of a birth certificate, to verify the pupil's legal name and age. (Note: This form can be obtained and completed at the front office of any FSD school site.)
- Passport
- Baptism certificate (showing birthdate)
Proof of Residency
- Proof of residence (must provide 3 forms). In accordance with California Education Code section 48204.1, the following documents may be accepted for establishing residency:
- Property tax payment receipts
- Rental property contract, lease, or payment receipts
- Utility service contract, statement, or payment receipts
- Pay stubs
- Voter registration
- Correspondence from a government agency

Declaration of residency executed by the parent or legal guardian of a pupil to show all the items of documentation listed above

Nothing in this section shall be construed to require a parent or legal guardian of a pupil to show all the items of documentation listed above
- Polio (OPV or IPV): 4 doses (3 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday)
- Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis: 5 doses of DTaP, DTP, or DT
(4 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday)
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR or MMR-V): 2 doses (both given on or after 1st birthday)
- Hepatitis B (Hep B or HBV): 3 doses
- Varicella (Chickenpox, VAR, MMR-V, or VZV): 2 doses
