AB 329: Comprehensive Sexual Health Education and HIV Prevention Education
Fullerton School District is committed to providing comprehensive sexual health education that supports the health, safety, and well-being of all students, in accordance with California Education Code Sections 51930–51939.
In Fullerton School District, the requirements of AB 329 are addressed through the 7th Grade Health curriculum. Our district believes students should receive accurate, age-appropriate information that helps them make informed decisions and supports their reproductive and sexual health. If students ask questions that are personal or non-instructional in nature, they will be encouraged to speak with a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult.
Fullerton School District uses Teen Talk as the foundation for sexual health instruction. The curriculum has been carefully reviewed and adapted to ensure compliance with California law while also reflecting the needs of our community.
The curriculum continues to be reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with legal requirements and district expectations. Additional information about the publisher is available here.
