Student Support Services
Health/Nurse Services, Mental Health and Special Education
The Student Support Services Department serves the Fullerton School District population in the areas of Health and Nursing, Social Emotional Wellness and Special Education. Our District staff offers guidance and technical assistance to schools in order to support academic achievement by providing academic, mental health, and student/family health and wellness supports. Students who may need additional assistance in these areas may be served with resources available at the school sites.
For students referred to Special Education, our highly qualified special education staff conducts assessments and provides a wide variety of special education services based on each child’s identified need and goals. We serve students from Preschool through Eighth grade. We are a member of the North Orange County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) which provides additional support, including services for infants and toddlers.
