Fullerton School District is proud to offer the Multi-Age Program as a district and state approved Alternative Program of Choice. We are one of five districts in California offering this unique and innovative classroom learning environment. Multi-Age classrooms contain a mixed-age group of children who stay with the same teacher for several years. The children, teacher, and parents become a unique “family” of learners. Our Multi-Age classrooms are designed to give every child the opportunity to find success and enhance their learning through innovative hands-on learning experiences and individualized instruction. Students become self-motivated learners, taking initiative for their own learning as they progress along a continuum of simple to more complex material, with an emphasis on mastery of California State Standards.
Fullerton School District’s Multi-Age Program has been in existence for well over 30 years. Currently there are eight such classrooms in the District. MultiAge Classrooms can be found at Rolling Hills Elementary School and Orangethorpe Elementary School. To learn more about the Fullerton School District Multi-Age Program.
