Fullerton School District is pleased to announce a new Gifted and Talented designation in the area of Arts. FSD identifies talent in the arts first by cultivating and developing a passion for the arts in Kindergarten through 6th grade students.
The Arts Identification process is for current 4th and 5th grade students and begins with a nomination by the student, a parent, teacher, peer, or community member.
Next the student must submit a portfolio with 3-4 digital pieces of art in the student's selected discipline (Music, Drama/Theater Production or Visual Arts)
Each submission must be self-evaluated by the student.
Finally, an interview and audition performance will take place.
Students will be notified in February 2021 of the results.
Interested students should begin developing an Arts portfolio in the disciplines of Music, Drama/Theater Production or Visual Arts.
