Annual Back-to-School Health Fair Prepares FSD Families for Success

Nearly 900 Fullerton School District students and family members gathered at the District's fourth annual Back-to-School Health Fair to prepare for the start of the 2026-27 school year, receiving free health services, school supplies, nutritious meals and community resources to help ensure every student is prepared for a strong start.

Held on August 5, the event – led by Fullerton School District's Community Schools program in partnership with Orange County Social Services Agency – brought together dozens of community organizations, local businesses and public agencies to provide health screenings, school supplies and other essential supports.

"When schools partner with nonprofit organizations, local businesses and public agencies, we're able to remove barriers for families and ensure every child has the resources, support and confidence they need to start the school year ready to learn," Community Schools Program Specialist Jenny Saul said. "Events like this show what's possible when an entire community invests in the success of its students and families."

As part of the event, more than 350 students received backpacks, which the Fullerton Police Department delivered in a BearCat armored rescue vehicle. Families also received dental hygiene kits, free dental services and other resources to help them prepare for the first day of school on August 10.
