Superintendent's Spotlight

  • MyFSD Story Series

Each year, the list of student spotlights for Fullerton School District grows. Not to be forgotten, FSD has embarked on the My FSD Story Series that catches up with former students as they talk about what they are doing now and how FSD has continued to influence them (click on their name to see the video). The first student featured in the My FSD Story Series is Jeffrey Tran, a former student at Pacific Drive and Nicolas Junior High Schools. Jeffrey is currently at Sunny Hills High School and speaks about the value of his early introduction to robotics which he continues to study along with his focus on engineering. The early exposure has helped developed his passion and he plans on furthering this pathway in college and beyond.

Also featured in the My FSD Story Series is Anthony Kharrat, a former student at Laguna Road and Parks Junior High School. Anthony speaks about inspiration during his elementary years that helped inspire him to be the young man he is today. Specifically, Anthony praises his involvement in running, Math Olympiad, and the Chess Club, which inspired him to complete his Eagle Scout project at Laguna Road School by constructing a concrete chess table and chairs.

Kelcie Barbour attended Orangethope and Parks Junior High Schools and is currently attending Fullerton Union High School as well as volunteering at St. Jude Hospital. Kelcie speaks about her early school influences in Speech and Debate and Dance, which have continued in high school. She highlights her times at FSD schools as exciting and inspirational to her future endeavors.

Former Sunset Lane and Parks Junior High School student Christian Yun is focusing on Economics and Finance in high school. He attributes his current focus from beginning in third grade and embarking on his entrepreneurial endeavors which parlayed into investing in the stock market. He beams at his early investment in Tesla. Christian Yun is My FSD and his early focus at Sunset Lane School kickstarted his focus and early career.

The final My FSD Story this year is on Krisi Patel. She is a current high school student who attended Pacific Drive and Nicolas Junior High Schools. She attributes her involvement in dance at Nicolas for providing her with a strong basis for dance in High School. Krisi also acknowledges her honors classes at Nicolas for preparing her for taking honors and AP classes at Sunny Hills High School.
