Mrs. Rachael Skoug

Welcome! My name is Rachael Skoug and I have been teaching for 8 years. I have taught 5th grade for the past 5 years, and have previously taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade. I was born and raised in Fullerton, CA and attended Fern Drive Elementary School, Parks Jr. High, and Sunny Hills High School. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fullerton and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Some of my hobbies include dancing, listening to music, spending time with my family, hugging my brand new baby, camping, and trying new foods. My favorite thing about teaching 5th graders are the daily interactions with your sweet children! In 5th grade, their passions, interests, personalities, and how incredibly capable they are of such impeccable work inspires me daily. Teaching upper grade is about self discovery of one's passion and learning how to achieve set goals. I love my teaching team and my goal is to make each day memorable by finding fun ways to explore new content and to develop students as strong readers, writers, and mathematicians. With our clear eyes and full hearts, together we can't lose!
