School attendance is important for your child’s success in school. When your student returns to school after an absence, a note must be sent with him/her, or phone the school office withing three days giving the reason for the absence. The note may be written in the home language, or it may be a doctor’s note. A parent note does not necessarily post as an excused absence. Excused absences are only for the verified illnesses (Doctor’s note) and death in the immediate family. Teachers will work with your child to make up missed work and they have as many days to complete as days absent. If they are absent three days or longer a doctor’s note is required. If the child is able to work, homework can be arranged by calling school office and requesting the work. Please allow a day for preparation.
