Transitional Kindergarten Instructional Minutes Fullerton School District kindergarten classes follow the Early Primary Program requirements, pursuant to Education Code 8970-8974. There are three early primary programs in our school district: Kindergarten, Extended Day Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten. All three programs exceed California’s minimum number of instructional minutes per week/year. Transitional Kindergarten students attend school for fewer minutes than Extended Day Kindergarten students, which is allowable through a waiving of Education Code Section 370202(a). It has been our experience that a half-day Transitional Kindergarten program provides the length of time needed for our students to adjust comfortably to the public school setting. If you should have any questions regarding our Early Primary Programs, please contact Trang Lai at email@example.com or 714-447-2878.
Every student is entitled to a safe school environment free from discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, intimidation, and bullying. The District’s policies on nondiscrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, intimidation, and bullying can be accessed on the District’s website located at www.fullertonsd.org. Copies are also available through a request to the District Office or the local school site. Click here for more information
