Chris Thompson is a businessman and a father of four who has fought for a variety of Fullerton’s educational and municipal issues and candidates over the years. Prior to winning election for the first time in November of 2010, Chris sat on the Site Councils of Acacia Elementary and Beechwood K-8, serving as Beechwood’s first Site Council President. Chris was additionally appointed to a variety of District-wide advisory committees, including the Measure CC Oversight Committee, Boundary Committee, and Infrastructure Evaluation Committee. Chris was the Founder of the “Maple K-8 Committee” which ultimately led to the prevention of the closing of Maple Elementary School to children of the Maple neighborhood. Chris was also the Fullerton City Planning Commission appointee of former Mayor and current Orange County Supervisor, Shawn Nelson.
In 2012, Chris managed the successful and nationally recognized campaign to recall three Fullerton city council members in association with the police related death of a homeless man named Kelly Thomas.
Chris is proud of his long association with the Fullerton Association of Concerned Taxpayers “FACT” and is particularly focused on ensuring that taxpayers and children’s interests are placed before special interests among District priorities.
Chris considers it part of his role as a Trustee to act as a conduit for community members to the Fullerton School District and publishes his personal cell phone number and email address in order that Fullerton residents might feel comfortable in communicating directly with him about issues of interest or concern to them. Feel free to reach out to Chris at 714-733-3926, his District email of firstname.lastname@example.org, or if you prefer, at his personal email of email@example.com.
